Mark 12:27 Jesus says, “He (God) is not the God of dead, but the God of living”
Its always been a very true experience for me in my life as how God has been working in different instances of my life. And a few of these instances I do share them online to testify to how God’s blessings are showered on us, and maybe somewhere you could also be able to see how God is working in your life.
This instance would be a little funny and weird one, but God did hear my prayer in jiffy in my need and I was so happy that I had to share it.
It all happened during my travel from Mangalore to Bangalore on last Sunday night in a Sleeper Bus. A chilly night, cool breeze blowing and my mistake of having a good meal of Conji and Curds before the journey all led to a unrest-ful night of me longing for restroom breaks.
Are you a Mangalorean? Have you lived in Mangalore for more than 10-15yrs? If yes for both, then if I ask you the best of the roads, parks, cafe’s, hotel’s, snack counters in Mangalore would you be able to tell me? A real thought provoking stuff right? Never thought someone would ask you this someday.
Yes recently we have had the the 3 hungry men do reviewing the food places in Mangalore, Manipal, Udupi and also even in Bangalore and Doha. But what about otherwise?
Red FM 93.5 the Mangalore division Radio Station of Sun Network, had recently started a poll and survey under the name ‘Red Chappu‘ to find the best of the best roads, parks, juice corners, place for Goli Baje (Mangalorean Snack), Fish Fry, Neer Dosa (another Mangalorean Delicacy), Ice Creams and Beach.
After a period of 3 days voting by the listeners of the Radio, they have come out with the besties of Mangalore, and they are..
After a long hectic week of work, all you need is a relaxing and resting Sunday! But hey that’s not always the answer for the stressed-out work week! There are many other solutions to relax, rejuvenate and maybe even relive the good ol’ memories! My solution for the last weekend was a Cousins Day out at Fernandes!
It all started with my first cousin in the Castelino family Shaila Fernandes (now married to my Bavoji Richard Fernandes) inviting the cousins in Bangalore for a weekend family get together at her place! A plan we had started discussing over 6 months, but never got the time and opportunity to bring it to action! But atlast the day, time and the best opportunity all was set in place, when Jeethan, Jason and myself set our feet for a awesome time at SJR Redwoods Cyprus tower!
Have you had one tight slap experience from God?
I just did today morning 🙂
Yesterday night, due to heavy rainfall in Bangalore, India, the area I was riding was flooded, and my Hayabusa just didnt agree to go any more further. So I parked it at the side, hitched hike’d a ride back home! Went home earnestly prayed to God to take care of my bike 😉

Call me a fan of Google Search or a Search freak. I just love searching and researching each and every minute detail I come across, while I read, when I see around, I hear from someone or somewhere or be it whatsoever, I just have to find out info about it.
Some say its good to know things, others say, just look into your own business and I term it as, just Dig, Dig and Dig more until your satisfied with the information. So as I was saying, I used to always hear this term, people express “Cloud 9”, I knew what it meant, but never knew what would be the feeling, or what it really meant to be on cloud 9.
Wikipedia expresses Cloud 9 as “an English expression meaning “euphoria” (an intense state of transcendent happiness combined with an overwhelming sense of contentment.) or “bliss” (a state of profound satisfaction, happiness and joy, a constant state of mind, undisturbed by gain or loss).”
Now what made me experience this feeling? Where? When? How?
From my last post I spoke about how I got the opportunity to fly to Mangalore from Chennai through flight, and now let me explain to you my small happy moment experience.
We always want to find out about who was the author of Facebook, Twitter, Orkut. Tried to find out why he/she started it, cursed our fate, that even though we start something nothing has happened yet, just saw them as our role models to mint money. But did we just realize that we hardly used to bother there werent any Indian names with them.
Actually we didnt bother to find some. After all we are Indians, and western stuff fascinates us more than our pure Indian products. Agreed?
Recently got a mail about three people who made the difference in my thinking, my thought and just left me struck with one word awesome. Yes I am talking about three Indians, Archana, Puneet, Sonpreet. Heard these names? Well, where you have time, while you are stuck up poking friends in Facebook, or Just expressing yourself on Twitter or just cursing the new changes on Orkut.
Recently one of my brother Biron D’souza had an incident occured in his life, that he shared with me! I felt that I need to share this to all. The below content is all in his own words, unedited. Do read on.
My friends from Mangalore were down in Bangalore over the weekend, we went bowling and watch the IPL finals together at one of their cousins place on Saturday. I wanted to be up and go in the morning for mass on sunday so that i could make it for the meeting in the evening. Didn find a place near the place where we were staying but two of my friends were goin towards MG road to meet up another friend for breakfast, and near there is the St Patricks Church, i found out from the CFC that mass was at 11 there, so it worked out well.
