After a long hectic week of work, all you need is a relaxing and resting Sunday! But hey that’s not always the answer for the stressed-out work week! There are many other solutions to relax, rejuvenate and maybe even relive the good ol’ memories! My solution for the last weekend was a Cousins Day out at Fernandes!
It all started with my first cousin in the Castelino family Shaila Fernandes (now married to my Bavoji Richard Fernandes) inviting the cousins in Bangalore for a weekend family get together at her place! A plan we had started discussing over 6 months, but never got the time and opportunity to bring it to action! But atlast the day, time and the best opportunity all was set in place, when Jeethan, Jason and myself set our feet for a awesome time at SJR Redwoods Cyprus tower!
Sundays are times when I get some time to relax, let my thoughts and imaginations go wild and try to innovate or making something special for myself! Its my time on a Sunday! 🙂 Most of the Sunday’s I used to be always engrossed in something or the other, and it was a very long time since I started preparing some special cuisine! When I plan for something special or simple recipes, I try to take some tips from Shireen Sequeira and this Sunday i planned why not try some Chicken dish, and I wash in moments reading through Malbar Chicken Biryani.
Let me share the outcome of it first, so then you will realize how good the recipe came out, though I had to make some simple changes of my own, since I didnt have all ingredients and dishes too :). My room mates and me ended up, not able to walk around the house with stomach’s full until they could burst! We couldnt stop licking our fingers for the small minute taste fillers ;)! One of my best creation in recipe‘s! Continue reading →
The Title only portrays the grandeur of the transport I took for travel from Ernakulam (Cochin) to Goa on Thiruvananthapuram-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express. It was a last moment decision of mine to go in this train, but though the feared cost of this journey by all, I would say it was worth it.
I boarded the train around 10:30pm, in 3AC boogie, to be welcomed by a suited, well dressed waiter welcoming me on-board. I get to my seat, where the compartment is sparkling clean, with clean interior, unlike other trains surrounded by rusted body. Since it was past dinner time, I didn’t get anything special other than a chilled mineral water bottle, and ironed, fresh smelling bed-sheets. Continue reading →
It had been some time we had made anything special at our place, and it called for some googling around, and to my luck, I got an easy, yummy recipe from Ruchik Randhap – by Shireen Sequiera.
Reading the recipe and knowing that I had all things ready with me, I kept my laptop on near the kitchen and started with this not so tough recipe and the outcome, just kept my room mates licking their fingers.
Though I was not able to click any images coz I was pretty much hungry, here’s a glance for you.
Been a very long time I tried something new or shared something in the section of Food and recipes, and somehow I realised the common thing we do at home, maybe someone out there may not know how to do it, or maybe my way is easier, so I sat to write this post on ‘How to make Chapati’ the easier and best way.
Now there is Roti, Rumal Roti, Nan, Parota and so on, but Chapati is one Indian Bread eaten and most loved in all parts of India.
Let me straight away go into the making part, coz I write to the one’s who are very hungry 🙂
