Happy Childrens Day

I woke up today not knowing the date, for a series of profile pictures changed to their childhood photos in almost all social media platforms and I was wondering what has happened while I was asleep. Some new fight we fighting by changing our profile pics. Thats when I get a message from my lecturer wishing me Happy Children’s Day, and that were it all made sense to me.

Don’t you agree with me that the best of the best’s in everything should always be honored and awarded, and that’s exactly whats Mashable plans to do with its event ‘Mashies‘. Agencies, brands, creatives, designers and leaders in digital are invited to submit their work for consideration.

Mashies, recognizes exceptional creative thinking and problem solving in marketing across new media and digital platforms from 2013. The site shared the submission link on its site, a few days back. The Mashies will honor projects launched between May 2012 and July 2013.

Independence Day Offers

Its the 66th year of India being freed from the British Rule on this August 15th, 2013. So what do Indians actually do on this day, being a holiday?

A few patriot’s, will wake up early, join at a government place or a school or so for the flag hoisting ceremony, sing the National Anthem, and then just continue with their daily routine lives.
There a few others, who join along to do something different, they go out of their daily normal schedule, join the less privileged people at Ashram’s or Health Cares or may Hospital’s, or even road’s and celebrate Independence Day with them.
While there are the other major part of the few, who wake up late, go out for a outing, do some shopping, eat out, sleep for the whole day or go for a movie, and ask them whats Independence Day and all they would say is, its a
Holiday and a Dry Day where liquor is not sold 😉
